Space X launches world's heaviest communication satellite, Telstar 19 Vantage

  • A private space agency whose CEO is Elon Musk.
  • Space X company planned for two mission in this week starting with first launch carrying Telstar 19 Vantage telecom satellite as payload.
  • It is the world's largest communication satellite ever launched. 
  • The approximate weight of this satellite is 7000 kg.
  • The satellite was carried by the new reusable launch vehicle Space X block 5 rocket.
  • The lift off took place in Cape Canaveral Air force base in Florida at 1:50 am. 
  • The payload was delivered successfully in GTO (Geosynchronous transfer orbit). 
  • The first stage of the rocket landed on offshore drone ship 'Of course I still love you'  8 and 1/2 minutes later. 
  • The next mission is planned for launching 10 Iridium Next satellites from same Falcon 9 block 5 rocket. 
  • The launch schedule is fixed on July 25. 
  • The location of launch of this mission is Vandenberg Air force base which is in California.

TELSTAR 19 Vantage

  • Satellite Telstar 19 Vantage is SSL- built satellites.
  • The satellite belong to Canadian fleet operator Telsat.
  • The satellite is a telecom communication satellite which consist of traditional KU band and KA band spot beams. 
  • The satellite is aimed for providing internet to various fields like offices, mobile platforms like air planes and boats and consumer stores. 
  • Another satellite of Telsat to be launch on same rocket of Space X. 
  • Name of satellite is Telstar-18 /Apstar-5C which is likely to be shared with a Hongkong based company APT satellite. 
  • The launch will take place most probably in August.

Elon Musk in his tweet posted information about scale down concept of there Starship for interplanetary space travels.
