Purdue university's scientists create world's fastest spinning man made object

World's fastest spinning man made object

  • Scientists create world's fastest spinning man made object.
  • The object precisely is not a object but a nano particle which is in dumbbell shaped.
  • The nano particle is made up of silica and was levitated by using laser in vacuum
  • The noted rotation per second (rps) of the nano particle was about 60 billion rps
  • Scientists behind this invention are Tongcang Li and Jonghoon Ahn
  • Tongcang Li is assistant professor of physics and astronomy and also serve as assistant professor in computer engineering and electrical engineering in Purdue University
  • According to Tongcang Li the dumbbell shaped particle was levitated in vacuum with using laser work.
  • The laser used having capability of working in a straight line and in circle helped in finding two motion of the nano particle
  • When the laser work in straight line the nano particle vibrates
  • When the laser work in circle the dumbbell spins
  • The spinning dumbbell work as a rotor and the vibrating dumbbell functions like an instrument which can measure tiny forces and torques
  • This kind of instruments can work as an excellent torsion balance.
  • Torsion balance device were used for discovering things like gravitational constant ,density of earth
  • According to Tongcang Li that further advancement can help in to study more typical things like quantum mechanics
  • Normal people thinks that vacuum is a complete vacant space but physician knows that vacuum a vacant space is a myth ,there are millions of particles which appears for infinitesimal small duration and than disappears .
  • Tongcang Li and his co scientist want to make a torsional balance with this dumbbell nano particle to study vacuum
  • Thus this nano particle motions can help in studying about vacuum friction and gravity which is essential for Modern Physics.

Is ISRO in a position to compete with the space organizations of other countries? Where does it rank?

ISRO is one of the biggest contender in space race despite limitations on funding and resources. Many milestones achieved by ISRO like Mars Orbiter Mission, Chandrayaan, 104 satellite launched in orbit on a single rocket put them in the forefront of space race. ISRO might have very less funding in comparison to other major space agency like NASA,JAXA,ROSCOSMOS, ESA, CNSA, CSA but determination of space scientists and there hardwork put ISRO in above elite space groups. There is no ranking system but if I would like to give ISRO a rank and on which most of the people will believe is: 1.NASA 2 ROSCOSMOS 3.CNSA 4.ESA 5.JAXA and ISRO 6.CSA

Chandrayan2 completed its final and fifth maneuver, What next?

September 1,2019 Today ISRO announced that Chandrayaan2  consisting of orbiter, lander and rover did its final and fifth lunar bound orbit maneuver. ISRO stated that they have successfully conducted this maneuver at IST 6:21 pm which took 52 seconds. Next and most crucial maneuver will be held tomorrow September 1,2019 which will separate Vikram lander from the orbit. Vikram lander with Rover Pragyan will land on moon on September 7,2019 if everything goes right.

New study claims that aliens might have lived twice on the moon

Earth's one and only natural satellite have many secrets which are to be revealed. Our moon in ancient times was suitable to support life twice ,one 4 billion years ago and again in 3.5 billion years ago suggested by a study at Washington state University. According to the study it is believed that meteorites from earth with living cells and microbes were carried to the Moon. This was published in the Monday edition of journal Astrobiology . Two planetary scientists have stated in there study that during landing of meteorites on Moon created heat enough to melt ice water in the surface of the moon in water vapours and gases which spewed out from the moon surface and form water pools on moon. The study also stated that there was also stable atmosphere at that time with magnetic field wrapping whole moon enough to safeguard organisms on the moon from solar winds. Dirk Schulze Makuch an astrobiologist at Washington State University said that "There could have ac...
