Head on collsion between two Jovian moons
As we all know the gas giant Jupiter's have already so many natural satellites riding in its orbit mostly in retrograde which means that they revolve in opposite direction of the Jupiter's spin.
- Findings of 12 new moons by American Astronomer team with help of Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile in march last year.
- Now the total amount of Jovian moons orbiting Jupiter is 79 more than any known planet in our cosmic neighbourhood.
- These discoveries were made by astronomers when they were hunting for a ninth planet beyond the orbit of Neptune.

- 9 of them are retrograde circling in outer orbit and take 2 years to complete one rotation.
- The 2 other moons are prograde and are so much close that they are heading towards moon to become small debris due to Jupiter's gravitational field.
- Here prograde means moons that revolve in same direction of Jupiter's spin.
- The 12th moon named 'Valetudo' orbiting very much close to the orbit of 9 other moons having a prograde nature is like a car driving down the highway on the wrong side of the road.
- So if there will be any collision between any of the 9 moons and valetudo will so big that it can be observed from the earth.
